Page is indexable

Enter a URL to check the meta robots tag, X-Robots-Tag header and other signals that decide whether search engines may index the page.

Why is my page not indexed by Google?

A page can be kept out of search results by a noindex robots meta tag, an X-Robots-Tag header, a robots.txt block, an error status code or a canonical pointing elsewhere. This checker looks at those signals for the page you enter and tells you whether it can be indexed.

How to check whether a page is indexable

  1. Enter the page URL or domain in the box above.
  2. Click Check Indexability.
  3. Look for any noindex directive or blocking signal.
  4. Remove unintended noindex tags, then request indexing in Google Search Console.

Related checks

If a page is blocked by noindex, robots.txt or a wrong canonical, fix that first, then ask Google to recrawl it with URL Inspection in Search Console. JustChecker alerts you if an important page becomes blocked again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check here for a noindex, then make sure robots.txt doesn't block it, it returns 200 and its canonical points to itself. Then request indexing in Google Search Console.

The same robots instructions as the meta tag, sent as an HTTP header. It can noindex PDFs and other files - and sometimes a whole site by mistake from a server setting.

WordPress's "Discourage search engines" setting and SEO plugins can add noindex site-wide, often left on after launch. Turn it off and re-check.
