What is a Twitter Card?

Twitter Card tags (twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:description, twitter:image) decide how a link is displayed when shared on X (Twitter) - for example as a large image card. If they are missing, X falls back to the Open Graph tags.

How to check Twitter Card tags

  1. Enter the page URL or domain in the box above.
  2. Click Check Twitter Card.
  3. Check the card type and that a title, description and image are available.
  4. Use summary_large_image for a prominent image preview.
