Enter the domain you want to see whether anyone has registered it. Taken names show the registrar and expiry date so you know your options.

How do I check if a domain name is available?

Enter the full domain name, including its extension, in the box above and click Check Availability. The checker looks the name up in the registry's public RDAP/WHOIS data: if no registration record exists, it is shown as available; if one exists, you see which registrar it is registered with and when it expires.

What to do after checking availability

  1. If the domain is available, register it promptly at any accredited registrar - checking it here does not reserve it.
  2. If it is already registered, note the expiry date in the result; a domain that is not renewed eventually becomes available again.
  3. Try other extensions such as .com, .net, .org or a country code like .in, or a short variation of the name.
  4. Avoid hyphens and hard-to-spell words so the name stays easy to say and type.

Related checks

An "available" result means no registration record currently exists for that exact domain in the public WHOIS/RDAP system - it does not reserve the domain for you, so if you want it, register it promptly through a domain registrar before someone else does. A "registered" result means someone already owns it, even if there's no live website at that address - many domains are registered and simply parked, held for later use, or used only for email. Found an available domain? JustChecker can start monitoring it the moment you register it.

Frequently Asked Questions

JustChecker only reads public registration data and never reserves or sells names. Good names do go quickly though, so register yours as soon as you have decided.

Try another extension, add a short word (get, try, your city) or check when it expires. The owner may also sell it - contact them through their registrar.

Premium and reserved names can look free in public data. The registrar's checkout always confirms the final availability and price.
