Domain resolves via DNS

Enter a domain to see all of its TXT records - the place where verification codes, SPF and other text settings live.

What are TXT records used for?

TXT records hold free-form text attached to a domain. They are used for email authentication (SPF and DMARC policies, DKIM keys), for proving domain ownership to services such as Google Search Console or Microsoft 365, and for other verification tokens.

How to look up TXT records

  1. Enter the domain in the box above.
  2. Click Look Up TXT.
  3. Look for the entry you expect - for example a record starting with v=spf1, or a verification token a service asked you to add.
  4. If a verification keeps failing, compare the value character by character with what the service gave you.

Related checks

TXT records collect over the years - old verification codes and duplicate SPF entries are common. Remove the ones you no longer need, then let JustChecker alert you if someone adds or changes a TXT record without telling you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check that the record appears here exactly as Google gave it, on the root domain (not www) and without extra quotes. If it is missing, the DNS change may still be spreading or was added at the wrong DNS host.

Yes - verification codes, SPF and others can sit side by side. The one exception is SPF: a domain must have only one TXT record that starts with v=spf1.

They are TXT records too, but on special subdomains: selector._domainkey.example.com for DKIM and _dmarc.example.com for DMARC. Use the DKIM and DMARC checkers to look them up.
